COVID-19 Preparedness: Ensuring the health and safety of our community

All public programs at the McQuesten Urban Farm are currently suspended.

Check back or on our social media for updates about our 2022 programming.

We are excited about the 2021 growing season!

Though our volunteer program has changed - COVID-19 & Volunteering - we are again offering safe opportunities to give back to the community and grow healthy organic produce with the McQuesten neighbourhood.  [black text below the title]

We are an inclusive community project that creates hands-on volunteer opportunities for people of all backgrounds, abilities, levels of gardening experience and interests.

Volunteers support farm staff with everything from organic Greenhouse operations and a wide range of farm-field tasks, to washing the harvest and preparing for Saturday’s Fresh Produce Market (market runs June-Nov). Volunteer also support community programs and events and participate in regular Farm Team Meetings (temporarily suspended during COVID-19).

And in 2021 we have introduced Special Volunteer from Home Projects (email us for details).
